About Me
Hi there!
I was born outside of D.C. in Arlington, Virginia, and raised in a Ugandan household filled with music, love, and well over hundreds of visiting relatives. My passion for musical theatre sparked for me as a child the moment I watched the live action, star-studded cast of Cinderella starring Whitney Houston, Whoopi Goldberg, and Brandy. It was the first time I saw Black women truly create magic through art. From that moment on, I’ve dedicated my artistry to the young Black women and women of color that come after me. I believe as artists, we set an example for the world we wish to see, just as much as reflecting what the world really is. More than anything, a politically and socially informed artist is a thriving artist.
Today, I am a NYC-based artist and constantly soaking up gratitude! In May 2021, I proudly graduated from Elon University with a B.F.A in Music Theatre. When I’m not performing, you can find me obsessing over Beyoncé, eating ketchup straight from the bottle, or microwaving cereal (yes, putting a bowl filled with cereal and milk in the microwave).
Thanks for stopping by!
